Did the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Update Cause More Problems?

I was hoping, like many others, that frame rate issues would be fixed. We’re they fixed though?

Personally I haven’t noticed a difference, frame rate is still off. I have encountered a new problem, something far worse that frame rate issues.

Upon testing the new update I have noticed that terrain now disappears and it’s replaced for a brief second but blue and white flickering shapes. By terrain disappearing I mean that a large chunk in the distance will just vanish as if someone cut it out, replaced by the flickering shapes I mentioned. It actually hurt my eyes a little. This issue happened a couple of times wishing the space of a few minutes before I put the controller down. I want to note that I didn’t have that issue before, only frame rate issues, which are still there.

I was hoping LoD would be improved a little. If you aren’t familiar with LoD (Level of Detail), it is where certain detailed game objects, like grass for example, appear near you but after a certain distance they disappear, to help with memory usage among other things. It looks a bit janky in the more expansive areas.

Grass is shown where the arrows are pointing, nothing past that white line, and nothing between the two red arrows. It is very noticeably in a square shape.
